Will different year car parts fit on the same model?

I have a 2002 mitsubishi diamante, if I get body parts from the same car but different year, will they fit or not? if not can they ever fit from a different year?
Im not sure if the body style changed, it doesnt look like it....how could i find that out?

body parts change sometime a lot but sometime not so much sometimes yes it could go either way by a year like before and after .. many time are the same parts you just have to look at a part to tell if its the same or not

It all depends on what parts ur talking about? Did the body style change during the 2 different years of parts u are trying to replace, was the vehicle redesigned or updated??

For some cars parts from a different year may fit even from a different model from the same manufacturer. I would suggest that you check the internet or the manufacturer to be sure.

You will have to go through the manufacturer website for model history and see... because it may or may not be possible, depending on the manufacturer.
